Prakruthi and Yogita

Prakruthi graduated from the National Law School of India University and has essayed the role of a teacher, an author, a journalist, a compere, an honorary police officer and an adventurer since the past two decades with equal ease.

His wife Yogita, a botonist, complements his enthusiasm ably by nurturing his dedication to his many drives as an administrator, editor, navigator and constant companion. They have earned their wings in many skies with their sights on many others awaiting their yearning minds.

Prakruthi N. Banwasi’s English Classes has gained wide patronage since the past 10 years. After 3 centres, 500 plus episodes on many channels, 10 editions of their Bashaloka books and popular VCD’s he is teaching English on an honorary basis to the policemen on the request of the Bangalore Police Commissioner S. Mariswamy and to many battalions of the Indian Army.

Their book of children’s stories ‘The Brats of Kalasapura’ was released by the Governor Sri. T. N. Chaturvedi recently. Their Banwasi publications has to its credit books on philosophy, homoeopathy and social aspects too.
Prakruthi initiated the first website on Karnataka www.karnatakainfo.com in 1996. and was also the Content Provider for www.mtvasia.com and conceptualized www.raj-kumar.com the first official web-site of Dr. Rajkumar. They are renown translators for many prestigious clients on an international footing.

Prakruthi assists Police as a Special Police Officer and has booked 500 plus eve teasers and both Yogita and Prakruthi are tackling the social menace of eve-teasing since 7 years by waging a war against the unscrupulous practice of eve-teasing. Their book ‘Eve Teasing Evils’ is to be released by Nandita Das next year.

They are inter city bikers by passion. Promoting safe riding and carring on a campaign against rash and negligent riding they have set many records together. They promote the concept that one can ride fast and still be safe and while one is riding slow one can still be rash so always have safety first adventure next! He rode from Mumbai to Bangalore (1023 km) 7 times. His best attempt of 11 Hrs 46 mins becoming a national speed record and was received by Dr. Rajkumar. In the ‘KARNATAKA TRAIL’ covering 3181.2 kms and every district of Karnataka within 50 Hours (4.5 days) where he was flagged off by Mr. Anil Kumble.

‘THE SOUTH-INDIA TRAIL’ covering 5184.33 kms that they rode together in 11 days and 4 hours had them addressing press conferences in 33 cities to promote safe riding and safety measures to use minor precautions to avoid major mishaps. They are currently working on 'INDIA TRAIL' - a precision land speed ride touching all the 28 state capitals of India and 5 Union Territories accessible by road, covering 15,318 kms in less than 28 days promoting road safety.
Prakruthi was also an avid horse rider, aerobics and Kalaripayattu enthusiast and is learning Hindustani Music from Pundit Indudhar Pujar since the past four years.
